Binary Domain vs. Sleeping Dogs? Discuss!
I don't know about you but I've had a pretty busy week! So glad it's over. Anyway, this weekend's big sale is The Darkness II. It's a really fun game and for $12.49 you can't afford to miss it. Grab some cover art right here:

All 3 very good games. At their sale prices I don't see how any of them could be passed up.
I got the retail version of The Darkness 2 for $20 a few months ago when it was still $50 in most places. Had a lot of fun, I loved the first Darkness. Amazing story line and great game play. The developers were the same that developed The Chronicles of Riddick games, and recently released the Syndicate reboot.
This sequel was developed by Digital Extreme, they did a good job, but I fall in love with the art direction they went. Its a mix of minor cell shading ie. Borderlands and a realistic approach. Still good but I would have much preferred it more like the original.
On to Sleeping Dogs. Though this is a digital download only for the US, it is a great game. You can catch with a 25% off from GreenManGaming.
It is a mix of a lot of pleasures, hand to hand combat, shooting, driving, and all around chaos. It does it very well too. The scale of the game isn't huge and you can access the entire city very early on in the game. It is a perfect blend of open world and small scale arena.
Fluid martial arts combat, good shooting mechanics, and fun arcade style driving. There is also a lot of extras you can do on the side that actually help you with progression during the game.
And finally Binary Domain, a great third person shooter. The story line on this game is one of the most intriguing and original I have witnessed in a long time. It is a pure head spinner. The shooting is very well done as well. This is its strongest point. You are going against robots so expect good opposition.
The graphics are amazing too. The vista and backdrops of the latter half of the game are incredible. I'd say the first 3 hours of the game are a bit slower paced than the excitement that follows in the later hours. I'm not knocking it down but the later portion of the game is the best part of course. You will see some really beautiful landscapes and building. Even some of the bosses will have you awe.
Overall a great game. You can get it for $10 on Amazon still, hopefully.

Same here. I've actually tried to stop myself from buying any new games and pretty much forcing myself to finish all the games I have.
Getting close to beating Alien vs Predator (2010). Just finished Dark Void today, and just recently beat Legendary -- not a bad game but the mechanics of it were a bit hard to get used to. I am also very frustrated with AvP as if anyone has played any other game by Rebellion they know the AI is something ridiculous. They also made the Sniper Elite games. But the AI in both the games will make your blood boil. Almost all the time you get faulted by the incredibly stupid, smart, AI.
Going to work on DiRT and Frontlines Fuel of War.
I bought Prototype 2 recently as well but I am holding off on that.
There are too many games and too much time,
