Hi,
I wanted to suggest for some time if you could introduce some rules.
1. One game request per post
2. The game name must be in the post title
At the end nobody knows what was already requested. And you always have to look in all posts to see which games these include.
What will later be a problem for the overview. And should be settled before too many "My Gamelist"-posts are online.

Re: new rule - One games request per post
We do have a system in place for notifying when a request has been fulfilled. I guess it's not being used by the people requesting the covers though:

Re: new rule - One games request per post
I have already seen that.
But has nothing to do with the problem.
When all posts a list of games. Would you open each post, go through the list, go back, open the next post, go through this list ...
If only one game per post is allowed, you would not have to open the posts anymore and could immediately find out which game are requested on the overview page.
It is clearer and more efficient for the creators.
One list with all games (the overview page) is better as x subpages with sub-game-lists.
(Is it done or not. Is not the question hear)

Re: new rule - One games request per post
I think it would be better to have a rule making it so that a request is one game only instead of a big list and really taking the piss out of us cover makers. I think its only fair to request one at a time.
I think in future too that people who fulfil requests add a little line in their reply about its been fulfilled to please kindly mark future requests as fulfilled, it will take time but eventually get around to where it's used more

Re: new rule - One games request per post
I suppose we can add it to the rules - one game per request - but a lot of people don't really read the rules and will miss this. Also, how about once a cover is created the person requesting the cover must also rate it?

That's what I mean. ThxDarkXess wrote:I think it would be better to have a rule making it so that a request is one game only instead of a big list and really taking the piss out of us cover makers. I think its only fair to request one at a time.

If the rule exists, members can refer to it. This is the first step.PieMonster wrote:I suppose we can add it to the rules - one game per request - but a lot of people don't really read the rules and will miss this. [...]
If you are looking for a way to get more reviews/rates:PieMonster wrote:[...]Also, how about once a cover is created the person requesting the cover must also rate it?
Way one: Remind a logged in member after two days that he has not yet rated the downloaded cover.
Best: With a "quick-link" with which he determines directly:
<a href="http://www.steamgamecovers.com/covers/[ ... id]?rate=1"> Poor</a<br/>
[...]
<a href="http://www.steamgamecovers.com/covers/[ ... id]?rate=5"> Awsome</a<br/>
Way two: Create a workflow. Forward a user to a specially rated page after downloading.
Way three: Both ways.
